Adding to the NMSU OTLC Wiki

 

Creating A Page

□  Click on New Page

□  Add the password (Julia will email it to you, write it down on your Master Password Guide)

□  Add your name, nickname, or pseudonym

□  Add your email or pseudo-email account

□  Click Log In

□  Add a representative image of yourself or

□  Have fun using the Voki Quick Start to add your Voki to your new page

□  See an example at julz page

 

Add to the Calendar

□  Go to the Calendar page (available on the SideBar)

□  There's a small calendar icon on the upper right of the Calendar that you can click on if you need to find a particular month

□  Find your birthday

□  Click on the day

□  Add your birthday

□  Or add it to the event adding box above the calendar in the format: event date time (notes) - example: Jim's Birthday 4/10 all day (doesn't like ice cream)

 

Contributing to the Wiki

□  You can now edit pages by selecting Edit Page

     (please don't edit pages that belong to others unless you have been asked to do so)

 

□  You can create a new page by selecting New Page

     (you are encouraged to create yourself a page here where you can add your favorite resources)

 

□  You can add comments to others' pages by selecting Comments

     (this is how you can add to pages that belong to others)

 

□  You can add files by selecting Files

     (if you create something that you want to share with the class, you can add a file)
